Autoctona offers services dedicated to traditional sparkling wine production, covering the stages of tirage, secondary fermentation management, riddling, and disgorgement. Each operation is planned according to the characteristics of the base wine, aging times, and the client’s production objectives. Our organization is structured to ensure operational precision, safety, and full control of the process.

Autoctona uses specialized, automated equipment for disgorging traditional method sparkling wines, designed to ensure precision, safety, and process repeatability. The service is structured around three main operational phases: riddling using automatic gyropallets, disgorgement with sediment removal and addition of liqueur d’expédition, and final operations including capping, cage placement, and foil wrapping. This setup allows us to work on small to medium batches while maintaining consistently high quality standards.

The required utilities vary depending on how the service is performed. For operations carried out at the client’s winery, standard utilities similar to those needed for bottling services are required. When the service is performed at Autoctona’s facility, all utilities are provided by Autoctona and included in the agreed service offer.

Yes. Autoctona provides structured technical and operational support to companies approaching sparkling wine production for the first time. This support covers the organization and proper management of the tirage and disgorgement stages, following the guidelines provided by the client and their consultants. This allows even less experienced producers to carry out the process in an organized, safe, and controlled manner.

The service can be carried out either at the client’s winery or at Autoctona’s facility, depending on operational needs, volumes, and the production project setup. The best option is evaluated together with the client during the planning phase to identify the most suitable solution for each case. Performing the service at Autoctona’s facility—which is recommended for batches larger than 3,000 bottles—allows full use of the available technology and ensures maximum technical and operational support from our staff.

Autoctona does not sell bottling materials. Clients are free to choose their own suppliers, while Autoctona ensures in advance that the materials are suitable and adapts its equipment to the selected choices. Only for small-batch operations does Autoctona provide a limited selection of materials specifically for tirage and disgorgement services.

The required documentation varies depending on how the service is carried out. For operations performed at the client’s winery, the documentation follows the requirements already established for bottling and filtration services and is largely prepared by Autoctona. When the service is performed at Autoctona’s facility, only transportation documentation (MVV), along with signed estimates and contracts, is required, with no additional obligations for the client.
